Four films worth seeing

some films have been released recently on dvd that i thought were really good.

As soon as i saw the subject line i knew City of God would be on your list..Amazing movie and excellent cinematagrophy..Im surprised none of the actors were nominated for any awards all of them were great!

Sometimes it just doesn't matter how much you care about one another

when certain circumstances interrupt the natural flow and growth of a relationship, it is like a flower that continues to be cut off just as it is beginning to bloom.

the bloom is the desired result for both people, but the bush it grows on (the relationship) continues to take a beating because of the circumstances, and so it just isn't possible for the flower to reach it's fullest potential.

sometimes there is no access to the bloom for one person because the other has erected a fence around part of the bush and the flower itself with the thought that it can protect it, but what it actually does is make it impossible for the other to nurture it and keep it alive.

My state must have the most JW's!

i was thinking about this yesterday and i was thinking that my state pennsylvania must have one of the highest concentration of dubs either in real numbers or per capital.

i'm just basing this on a hunch, no data to back it up.

also, this is where russel did get his start, kinda scary.

Hmm..i woulda never thought hawaii cuz theyre already in paradise

here in the city of new york theyre EVERYWHERE! there are soo many kingdom halls and because of bethel its even worse..poor brooklyn

on the other hand there are alot more people so maybe thats why its not such a big ratio difference

i saw it last night it is hilarious!

not only that, but it pin points crazy organizations (ie: j-dubs) to the tee.

Obviously the situatons are exagerrated but the idea is the same: controlling other peoples lives is their main concern. I have such a desire to send each and every one of my old congo members a copy of this movie when its out on DVD just to piss em off

Witness Gatherings

first of all we had our yearly gathering - note that it was at a vfw hall (war war war).

second: for the first time it was catered & we had to pay our share.

i remember we would have huge parties at the rec centers in the projects lol

And they would start at 4 and end like at 10 so by the time 10 rolled around and me being a lover of night life would complain "whys it over so early" theyd say (usually an elder) "well havent you danced enough wordly music already"

trouble with mami!

i moved into and how everything is going.

she then started telling me that since things are going so well with me, and since my new apt is much closer to the hall she attends, that i should now start attending "atleast the sunday meetings mi'ja" i said ma we've had this same discussion for a year now.

HI everyone,

Last week i spoke to my mom (whos still a very active j-dub) about my new apt. i moved into and how everything is going. She then started telling me that since things are going so well with me, and since my new apt is much closer to the hall she attends, that i should now start attending "atleast the sunday meetings mi'ja" I said ma we've had this same discussion for a year now. I moved out of home to gain some independence, Im an adult and i should make my own decisions about what i choose to do with my life. She then stated (very dramatically) how after 23 years im an ingrate and im gonna lose all the good in my life. I said i never got when someone made the decison to diassociate themselves it automatically meant they were cursed. She said i shouldnt count my blessings if i was soo againt the organization. We debated about a few things that i found out were false and other very disturbing situations (i.e. the abuse cases, the UN association) and she took this to great and personal offense. My mom is very strict but can also be supportive fo her kids, but in this case i dont know if she'll budge since ive been calling her for the past 2 weeks and shes avoided speaking with me. I know shes ok cuz i spoke to my brother who still lives at home but i dont know what im supposed to do in order for her to stop being so judgemental, altho i know that is the essence that is the j-dubs..Any suggestions

im so happy me and 6 other of my girlfriends are all going to pr for memorial day weekend!

beach, sun and fun..woo-hoo!

i have to run to h&m and get an extra bathing suit..im so excited and i just cant hide it and i wanted to share it with all u beautiful people .

my roomates parents have a house there so we're staying with them..her mom is gonna cook latin food all weekend!! hooray..so all we were responsible for was the plane ticket..ive heard the hotels there are beautiful..
